#157 What gifts are you getting?
Unbiased recommendations for the holiday season
The measure of a good gift is not in how much it costs, but how meaningful it is.
You know the feeling… When someone gifts you something you REALLY like. You might not even have had it on your radar. But once you see it you absolutely know it’s going to play a beautiful role in your life.
Consciously or not, your respect for this person goes up. No matter how they did it, you appreciate them a little more now.
Those are the best gifts. Feels amazing to receive. Feels amazing to gift.
So how do you give amazing gifts? Well, there is no universal answer. It’s really hyper dependent on the person you’re gifting it to. However, it’s never been easier to find someone a great gift - if you consider yourself a good friend / family member.
Usually it’s something obvious that they’ve perhaps asked your opinion on before. If they’re not that kind of person, look through their socials. You can tell a lot about someone purely based on who they follow.
If you’re not sure where to start, this gift guide includes some gifts that your potential gift recipient might like - odds are higher if they’re a WARKITCHEN enjoyer :)

END GRAIN CUTTING BOARD
It’s 2025. You should not be cutting on plastic boards. All you’re doing is injecting chunks of plastic as an added ingredient. Opt for a beautiful black walnut end grain cutting board. Get a butcher block if you’re balling.
GLASS WATER DISPENSER
Imagine having a station for hydration when guests come over. Load a beautiful glass dispenser like this with cool, sparkling water. Lemon juice. Fresh mint. Imagine just how refreshing each sip would be? Electrolytes offered on demand. Every home needs a station for (real) hydration.
LE CREUSET BLUEBERRY
Just has to be in the gift guide every year. Every time we post about these cute little guys we get wives in our DMs thanking us. You’re very welcome. Go get your le creuset blueberries. You know what, while you’re at it, get the strawberry as well. You deserve it.
AN ENTIRE COW
Yes, you read that right. Buy an entire cow. Or get 1/2. Or a 1/4. You’ll be amazed at just how much you’re getting for each dollar. Marrow. Bones. Every cut imaginable. So much ground meat. It’s the perfect gift. Share it with a friend, or two.
COPPER MIXING BOWL
Trust me on this one. Will she use it often? No. Will she love you eternally? Yes. It’s called a KitchenAid copper bowl.
PURE COPPER BAIN MARIE SET
Who wants a microwave in their kitchen anymore? We’re back in the era of the beautiful bain maries. And not many materials are as thermally conductive as copper. The most subtle flex.
PARMIGIANO REGGIANO
Legend says the man with an entire wheel of parmigiano reggiano will be blessed with a beautiful family who loves him forever. Do with this information as you wish.
MONTH’S SUPPLY OF WATER
Good quality water is absolutely worth its weight in gold, especially in a world where so many are contaminated. Get a crate of some of your favorite water for a month. Incredibly underrated gift.
BEESWAX CANDLE
Nobody wants candles that leach toxic fumes. Burn beeswax candles with cotton wicks. Your body will thank you for it.
MECHANICAL JUICE PRESS
This will be the most revolutionary gift you buy this holiday season - for everyone in the home. You’re about to be spoilt by juice of the likes you can’t imagine. Pomegranate-orange juice will hit like crack.
LENOX VILLAGE BUTTER DISH
It doesn’t get better than this. Storing butter in your very ownVictorian village! A row of pastel dollhouses for all your varieties of butter. Gives you even more incentive to make unique compound butter hehe.
BEAUTIFUL SOURDOUGH
Sometimes, the best gifts don’t cost anything. A beautiful gift that you could absolutely gift even outside the holiday season is a loaf (or loaves) of fresh sourdough that you’ve made yourself.
INCANDESCENT BULBS
It’s getting tougher to find these out in the wild and we all know how much more beautiful a home is with warm, yellow lighting - especially post sunset. Gift someone the gift of light and watch the ambience of their home transform.
BIALETTI MOKA POT
This one’s for all your Italian friends & Italians at heart.
NICHE COFFEE BEANS
Only get this if they make their coffee at home AT LEAST three times per week. They’ll appreciate niche coffee beans. Highly recommend a beautiful fruity light roast.
TERRACOTTA DINNERWARE
Terracotta is so back. There’s nothing quite more beautiful than a set of glazed terracotta dinnerware. Does something to your brain (in the best way). A great gift for those who love hosting dinners.
MARBLE SALT CELLAR
You need to be encouraging their salt-buying addiction. Get them a beautiful salt cellar (or three) that they can showcase the rare salts they buy when they host guests for dinner.
SET OF SPICES
You definitely have that one friend with an array of various spices and dried herbs that are just incredibly messy. Half of them are probably expired! Do them a favor and get them an essential set - all in beautiful glass jars. The one above is from Simply Organic. Note: If you don’t have that friend, it’s you! Hahaha.
BEE HERB GARDEN
This is for that special someone. An entire bee herb garden. A gift of life. You’ll never run out of herbs and honey ever again.
BUTTER MOLD
You need beautiful butter molds to shape compound butters before placing them in your Victorian village. Some even come in beautiful animals that you can shape and present on your dinner table.

❋ GET RADIO BAKERY’S RECIPE: TRIPLE CHOCOLATE CROISSANT
This triple chocolate croissant comes from hit NYC bakery, Radio Bakery. It’s made with a mix of 70% dark chocolate, cocoa powder, caramelized milk chocolate and semisweet chocolate.
Radio Bakery uses a “pre-ferment,” which is a starter dough made day(s) ahead of time. Pre-ferments significantly boost the flavor of pastries because they allow the yeast to slowly grow, or “retard”. Radio follows a 3 day pre-ferment timeline for a shatteringly flaky crust. Follow the recipe down below to bring their magic into your own kitchen.
