Thank you so much for including my rissoles piece! What a nice gesture and I'm so grateful!

I served breakfast in our hotel 7 mornings a week for 9 years and discovered 2 things : (obviously) breakfast is cultural : guests from Britain all want certain foods, Germans, French, Americans, Italians, etc... almost consistently, they each ask for the same thing their compatriots want, whether a sweet breakfast or savory, bread and jam, meats or cheese, fruit or not. The second thing is that when people travel to a new country, they'll want to "eat like the locals do", discover the local dishes and experience the well-known national dishes but only for lunch and dinner. Most people need or crave the comfort of the breakfast they eat at home first thing in the morning. Funny, right? I have only started eating breakfast differently when I stay in a hotel.

Eggs, sausage, smoked salmon, fresh squeezed orange juice, ricotta pancakes... *sigh* breakfast isn't just a meal, it's a reminder that each new day is a gift to us. Thank you for the mention! I hope lots of people are reading great books this summer. The analog revolution is happening and it makes me so happy.
